INNISFIL, Ontario – For her third straight start of the 2014 season, Nicole Podewils would finish third in the feature at Sunset Speedway.
Podewils would start the night by finishing second in her heat to qualify for the Dash for Cash. She would battle hard throughout the Dash to finish third behind Brandon McFerran and Andy Kamrath.
Come feature time, Podewils would have good luck during the random draw, scoring the pole. She would lead the first four laps of the feature, before Points Leader Brandon McFerran would get around her on lap five to take the lead. Podewils would keep herself second behind McFerran all the way till the second caution at lap 16.
The restart wouldn’t go as she would’ve hoped as Jordan Howse would make his way by to take the second spot. For the rest of the feature, Podewils focused on holding off Samantha Shaw and was able to, securing the third place finishing spot.
