INNISFIL, Ontario – Terry Woodley would have a great run on Thursday night at Sunset Speedway as he would finish eighth in the Frequent Flyer 50 presented by Spencer Lewis Promotions.
Woodley started off the Thursday evening by finishing third in heat to automatically qualify for the main event. Starting from the 12th spot, Woodley would move up to eighth by the first caution at lap two for an incident between Eric Yorke and Jordan Howse. He would then fall back to the ninth on the restart, and fell back a bit more as he would be the 16th place car on lap 16 for a $20 bonus. He would then begin to start moving back up the running order, running ninth under the third caution at lap 23.
Woodley would battle hard to stay ninth, before moving into the eighth spot at lap 30 when second place car Brandon McFerran ran into mechanical issues. He would then battle hard the rest of the 50 lap feature, staying on the lead lap all the way to the checkered flag in eighth spot.
Special thanks to the Dohertys, Dave Doucette, Finish Line Painting, Next Level, Bubba James, Tyler Watson, Sean Grosman and Fast Eddie Racewear for contributing money towards the event.
