Richard Petty Motorsports has hired Frank Kerr to crew chief for Dakoda Armstrong in the NASCAR Xfinity Series as he drives the No. 43 car.
Kerr is a former Sprint Cup Series Champion Crew Chief, whom drove for 19 years before becoming a crew chief. He began racing at the age of six in quarter midgets. Kerr most recently worked with David Gilliland at Front Row Motorsports during the first half of the 2014 season.
Armstrong ran his rookie year of competition last year, finishing 13th in points with three top-10 finishes.
