Charlotte, N.C. (February 5, 2015) – GALT, Global Asphalt Logistics and Trading, a Leader in Asphalt Trading around the world has partnered with Dalton Sargeant and will be involved in each racing discipline for the NASCAR rookie in 2015. The new partnership will encompass the entire 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East with several primary events, including the season opener at New Smyrna Speedway on February 15. GALT will also serve as an associate partner on the No. 5s Wauters Motorsports machine in selected super late model events as well as the No. 51 Lee Pulliam Performance machine in selected NASCAR Hometracks late model events. Dalton Sargeant is also proud to announce that Kris Bowen has been named the crew chief of the No. 51 GALT Chevrolet in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series for the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series season.
GALT, a new partner to NASCAR competition for the 2015 season was originally formed in 2012 and specializes in the purchase and sale of bituminous products and the transport and storage of these products. The company has established itself as a leader in innovative solutions to its customers around the world. GALT is operated by a dedicated international team, and prides itself on the flexibility and rapid response to their customers needs.”
“It’s so exciting and refreshing to have GALT come on board with us in every single motorsports discipline we’ll be participating in during the 2015 racing season,” said Dalton Sargeant. “GALT has a great group of people behind them and its been a pleasure working towards this goal with them, I can definitely draw so many parallels between a company like GALT and an organization like HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks. It was evident after the first time our friends at GALT stepped into the facility at HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks and saw the resources and equipment that they were just as excited about the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series racing season as we were. It was really refreshing to see that kind excitement with GALT and their associates and their level of involvement just grew from there, they realized this wasn’t just another race team but an organization that could push their brand to a whole new level.”
Sargeant will also have a new crew chief for the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series season with Kris Bowen, who has recorded one win (New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2014) two pole positions (Iowa and Dover in 2014) and 16 top-5 finishes in his three seasons as a crew chief. Bowen comes from a racing background as well, recording numerous wins behind the wheel of a late model stock car all across the Southeast.
“This is such a great opportunity for not only myself but also for such a talented driver like Dalton Sargeant,” said Kris Bowen. “I’ve been watching Dalton since he made his debut on the late model stock car scene in 2014 and have been impressed with his results with such little stock car and oval experience for that matter. He came from a background in karting which is where I began my racing career as well, he’s a perfect example of a driver who’s taken all the attributes of being a successful driver in karts and has applied them in stock cars with great success. With a great driver and all the tools, cars and equipment that I could ever ask for from a great organization like HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks, I’m really looking forward to this opportunity and cant wait to get started at New Smyrna Speedway.”
“Everyone here at HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks is excited about the pairing of Dalton Sargeant and crew chief Kris Bowen,” said Mike Greci. who oversaw Turner Scott Motorsports’ K&N Series program since its inception in 2013. Under Greci’s leadership, TSM earned back-to-back K&N Pro Series East championships, 15 victories and 14 pole positions. “After seeing Sargeant at the Snowball Derby and his performance at New Smyrna Speedway in a Super Late Model I’m really looking forward to having him on our team and the 2015 season. With that being said, I’m really eager to see Kris Bowen work with Sargeant, Kris is extremely talented working with young drivers who don’t have a lot of previous experience. His personality, his work ethic, his previous driving experience all puts him in similar categories with the crew chiefs that have previously won championships in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (McFarland and Lindley). All those factors coming together should be a great match and we look for Dalton Sargeant and Kris Bowen to run upfront each and every week.”
