Dan Green here with my second entry to my blog for OnPitRoad.com. Last entry I told you a little about myself, this entry I am going to let you know about my team. The owners of G & H Motorsports are my parents, Scott and Cathy Green they have supported me through-out my racing career I would not be able to do this without them. Also members of the team are; Bob Higginbotham, Brett Higginbotham, Todd Lapp, Debbie Dutter, Jim Alexander, Jesse Bivins and Jacky Higginbotham. Every member of the team is family.
It’s February 2015 and my team has been real busy with getting the season started, it started as soon as the last race happened on August 30, 2014. My parents and I talked about getting a new chassis from Bernheisel Race Components and we were able to trade in our old chassis and get a 2015 LAZER X. We picked up our new chassis and on January 23rd through the 25th, our sponsor Hot Rod Processing had a display at the 30th annual Motorsports Racecar and Trade show in Oaks, PA put on by our local racing paper, Area Auto Racing News for more information go to www.aarn.com. It was fun being there representing Hot Rod Processing and handing out all the stuff we had from our other sponsors. On Sunday it was family day and I was able to watch my two boys participate in Big Wheel races, racing has always been about family and fun.
The other thing that the team does is try and get sponsors for the season, we have been real happy as we have been able to secure a few new ones for the 2015 season. Just Mom’s Ice Cream and Grille of Honey Brook, PA, Little Anthony’s Pizza and Grill of Honey Brook, PA, WIX Filters and NGK Spark Plugs have all come on board for this year. Our other sponsors that have come back for 2015 are: Hot Rod Processing, Scott Select Pre-Owned Cars, Ken’s Towing, Scott Chevrolet, SquireSide CAFE, AMSOIL, Linda’s Hair Technique and LAZER X Chassis.
As the weeks go forward I will try and give you insight on what we do to be able to be competitive at Grandview Speedway.
