BROOKLYN, Mich. (April 15, 2015) — The Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson continues to grow as craft beers and hard ciders are added to the ever popular lineup.
The craft beer craze is sweeping Michigan, making the state fifth in the nation in the number of breweries, microbreweries and brewpubs. The Michigan Wine and Beer Fest is a great place to try all the seasonal beers that this state offers.
And you can even purchase your favorite Michigan craft beers, wines and spirits in the retail store. MIS is one of only a handful of festivals in the state that has a retail store on site.
More than 16 award-winning breweries from across the state will be on hand showcasing numerous microbrews.
Guests can sample the latest from such Michigan breweries as Arbor Brewing Company, Cotton Brewing Company, North Peak Brewing Company and Uncle John’s Hard Cider. You can find the full list of breweries here: http://bit.ly/1NIGP98.
After selecting those favorite craft beers or hard ciders, guests can purchase a six-pack or a case in the on-site retail store to take home.
The Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson is one of the only events that you can taste and buy beer from all over the state at one place. The on-site retail store makes it easy for you to take home your favorite wine, beer or spirit to share with family and friends.
With under a month until the sixth annual event on May 9, the impressive list of breweries continues to grow every day.
“In recent years, Michigan has seen a growth of craft beers and we have breweries added daily to enhance the event,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “We are really excited about the responses we’ve gotten from the breweries and are happy to include craft beers and hard ciders to the day. Being able to taste fantastic beers and hard ciders from all over the state, getting personal service from the breweries and then having the option to purchase your favorites in our retail store truly makes this a must-attend event.”
The Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson is a celebration of Michigan wines, beers, hard ciders, distilleries and food – all at Michigan International Speedway, NASCAR’s fastest racetrack.
Michigan wineries and food vendors will also be featured, making the Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson a Pure Michigan event. New in 2015, hard cider and distilleries will also be featured.
Curtis notes the Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson kicks off summer at MIS and is conveniently situated in the southeast corner of the state, a growing area for wine enthusiasts.
This event will once again feature the tastes and toasts of Michigan wineries, Michigan breweries, Michigan distilleries and Michigan eateries in a unique setting — the state’s only NASCAR Sprint Cup racetrack and the fastest track on the circuit.
Guests may sample wines, beer and food from Michigan vendors, and buy their favorite wines by the bottle or case. The festival’s on-site retail store will have select wines, beers and spirits available for purchase at the event. In addition to wine and beer sampling, seminars covering wine, food and other topics of interest will be held throughout the venue. Live entertainment throughout the day will also be featured.
Advance tickets for the Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson are $30. Each ticket includes $10 worth of tasting tokens.
This event is for guests 21 and older.
Michigan International Speedway will host the inaugural SPEEDWAY STOMP™ 5K paced by Experience Jackson on Friday, May 8, the day before this year’s Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson.
Cost is $45 per runner and includes an inaugural finisher’s medal, commemorative event shirt, official timing and scoring bib and results and a ticket to the May 9 Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson. (Please note: Any age may enter the SPEEDWAY STOMP™ paced by Experience Jackson, but only guests 21 and older may use the ticket to the wine fest.)
