INNISFIL, Ontario –To say that the past month as gone great for Cameron McGlashan would be an understatement as he will go into Sunset Speedway this weekend looking for his sixth straight top-five finish.
Last weekend, he finished second in his heat race and second in the Fast Qualifier’s Dash before starting 14th in the feature. He would avoid an early incident to move up to the 10th spot. he then continued to climb spots, moving into eighth with 15 laps to go.
He would then move into third six laps into the feature, before making his way by Stefan Woyslaw to move into second. For the rest of the feature, he worked at tracking down race leader Treyten Lapcevich and finding a way by, but wasn’t able to, crossing the finish line in second.
With every point on the line over the next couple of weeks, McGlashan will certainly be looking for a strong run this weekend, perhaps the third victory of his career.
