Welcome Back Auto-Owners Insurance…Allgaier will be sporting the blue and white colors of Auto-Owners Insurance (AOI) this weekend at TSS. This weekend’s race marks AOI’s second of three primary races this season. AOI’s final primary race in 2015 is next weekend at Martinsville Speedway. Allgaier’s best career NSCS finish of eighth came while piloting the No. 51 AOI Chevy at Bristol Motor Speedway earlier this season. The Alabama-based Milstead Insurance Agency will be on the No. 51’s TV panel to represent an independent Auto-Owners Insurance agency.
See Justin…Allgaier will participate in a Q&A at TSS’s DEGA Club located in hospitality village at 9:15 a.m. CDT on Saturday, Oct. 24. Tickets to the club may be purchased by visiting www.talladegasuperspeedway.com. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, Allgaier will appear at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky. at the BRANDT Professional Agriculture booth. Show hours are 12:30 – 5 p.m. EDT.
Kansas II Race Recap…Last weekend, theNSCS completed its final Midwest race of the season at Kansas Speedway. Allgaier completed three practice sessions in the BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy and qualified the No. 51 machine in the 30th position. After racing in the top 20 during some points in the race, Allgaier had a right-rear tire go down and also brushed the wall twice late in the race. Even with the adversity, Allgaier still managed to bring the BRANDT Chevy home in the 26th position for HScott Motorsports.
“Restrictor plate tracks are the really the unknowns of our season. You rely on all of the other drivers not to make a mistake so much more at a track like Talladega [Superspeedway]. Talladega is really about survival throughout the majority of the race, so that you have a good car to race with at the end. We have Auto-Owners Insurance back on the car this weekend, and they were pretty lucky at Bristol, so I hope we can get another really good finish for them.”
Crew Chief Steve Addington on Talladega Superspeedway:
“We get great cars from Hendrick Motorsports, and they’re the best at superspeedways. I’m confident the guys at HScott Motorsports have prepared a great Auto-Owners Insurance for this weekend at Talladega [Superspeedway]. How ever the car unloads on Friday is pretty much what we have. We’ll make a few laps in each practice session on Friday just to make sure we don’t discover any problems. Obviously, the key at a place like Talladega is to take care of your car so that when it comes down to the last few laps, you can go for the win.”
