MOORESVILLE, NC (October 23, 2015) – Fresh off the end of the 2015 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season, Lira Motorsports is wasting no time in getting ready for next year.
The team announced today that they will test four ARCA cars at Motor Mile Speedway on November 3rd.
Participating in the full-day test will be three drivers returning from the team’s 2015 roster, as well as one driver new to the team. Climbing behind the wheel will be Brandon Lynn, Jairo Avila, Tyler Dippel and Clayton Weatherman. Lynn, Avila and Dippel each made their ARCA Series debut with Lira during the year. In a total of eight races, the trio combined for six top 15 starts and five top 15 finishes.
This will be Clayton Weatherman’s first time in the driver’s seat for Lira Motorsports. The 16 year-old racer from Wentzville, MO competed in three ARCA Series races in 2015 for his family-owned team, Weatherman Motorsports. Weatherman is the younger brother of ARCA Racing’s 2015 Rookie points leader, Kyle Weatherman.
Lira Motorsports driver David Levine, as well as Kyle Weatherman, will both be on hand at the Motor Mile to provide guidance and support.
In their first year of ARCA Racing Series competition, Lira Motorsports collected a total of 22 top ten finishes and two race wins in 2015. Roush Fenway Racing’s Ryan Reed scored both victories. The team also finished the year with six CGS Imaging Hard Charger Awards and Three SCOTT Rookie of the Race Awards.
