When the 2015 season kicked off, there were five contenders giving it there all to claim the coveted Rookie of the Year award by the end of the year, each of different age and from different states across the country. Its coming down to Tri County Motor Speedway to determine who will be on top.
Everyone of them has had there ups and downs this season learning a lot as they went. Currently, Ricky Bowers is showing the way with Luke Sorrow right on his tail, trailing by 13 points.
“I’m not even worrying about the points, I’m just going to do what we have to done all year and that’s focus on bringing home the checkered flag and trophy and the Rookie of the Year will follow along with it,” Bowers said. “If we get into a situation where the points matter then we will deal with it. I have had a pretty good record so far at Tri County; the first race we finished eighth, and the second visit there I was running fifth until we got caught up in a wreck. Leicht Motorsports has won a ton of races there at Tri County Motor Speedway and has put a awesome set up under my Cometic Gasket Inc, Sikk Shades by Eddie Bauer Jr, Leicht Motorsports Driver Development #61 Toyota Tundra.”
Don’t count out Sorrow, though, as he can easily make a huge gain and capture the Rookie of the Year himself.
