January 12, 2016 – Mooresville, NC – Cunningham Motorsports has announced that four drivers will test with the organization this weekend during the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards open test at Daytona International Speedway.
As previously announced, Chase Briscoe and Kevin Thomas Jr. will test the Cunningham Dodges on the first day of the test, Friday, before flying back to Tulsa, OK, to complete their Chili Bowl experience on Saturday. At the Chili Bowl, Briscoe is piloting a Cole Custer machine, while KTJ is wheeling previous Chili Bowl champ, Kevin Swindell’s Midget.
On Saturday in Daytona, Matt Wallace and Brady Boswell will take the reins of the two cars, in order to gain valuable speedway experience and approval to compete in future events, by the ARCA Series officials. Continuing the test on Saturday, after their full-time drivers have flown out of Daytona, will give the teams more insight into needed adjustments, as they prepare for the first race of the 2016 season.
Wallace has made two ARCA Series start in 2015, with a best finish of 10th at Toledo in a Kimmel Racing Ford. He began racing at eight, with his resume including Bandoleros, Legend cars and Pro Latemodels. Boswell began racing at nine years old, making his way from Bandoleros, Pro challenge cars and Latemodels to the X-1R Pro Cup Series, where he earned the Rookie of the Year award in 2013.
