Group Qualifying For Bristol, New Hampshire Events
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR and New Hampshire Motor Speedway confirmed today the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at the “Magic Mile” has been moved to Saturday, July 16. This change creates a unique triple-header at the short track, with the series joining the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR XFINITY Series on the Saturday slate of racing.
In addition, NASCAR announced the implementation of group qualifying for that race at New Hampshire, as well as the race on Saturday, April 16 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
“It is a continuous process of working with our race tracks to provide the best entertainment for our fans,” said Brad Moran, NASCAR touring series director. “With our race weekends at Bristol and New Hampshire, we have the opportunity to test the group qualifying format on an oval at the NASCAR K&N Pro Series level.”
The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will kick off the season on Sunday, Feb. 14, at New Smyrna (Florida) Speedway with the Jet Tools 150.
