With victories in the first and third events of the weekend, Sheldon Creed has done it once again.
The 2015 Series Champion is the overall winner for the SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks presented by Traxxas event in Adelaide, Australia. Creed edged Paul Morris at the line for the victory in race one, while taking the lead with about three laps to go from Toby Price in the third event on Saturday to score the win. The pair of victories, combined with a fourth in race two, were enough to take the victory.
Series creator Robby Gordon tied Creed at the top of the standings, but lost in the tie-breaker virtue of finishes of fourth, third and second. Gordon made his way up into the second spot with two laps to go in the third event, but was unable to close the gap on Creed.
The third event on Saturday saw Matthew Brabham finished third, followed by Keegan Kincaid and Burt Jenner.
Mingay led the event early after his rollover in the second event, but unfortunately, ended up finishing deep in the pack after getting spun just past halfway due to contact from Jenner.
The Stadium Super Trucks will now turn their attention back to the United States, as they get set to run on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida alongside the Verizon IndyCar Series.
