Construction of Colossus TV, the world’s largest outdoor center-hung video screen, continues to pick up pace as we near the Food City 500 race weekend.
The halo, the support structure that will hold Bristol Colossus, went approximately 155 feet in the air Monday to have the support cables attached.
This component of Colossus TV weighs 146,000 pounds and is nearly 100 feet in diameter.
The next phase of construction is to assemble the gondola on the ground before it attaches to the halo.
