As part of the Inside Track Short Track Night of Champions presented by Stoneridge Insurance, the Grand Bend Speedway Champions were honored for their accomplishments.
Hayden Sim was honored as the Jr. Late Model Champion, to go with his championship crown from Delaware Speedway.
“We had an awesome car all year,” he stated. “I have to thank Dad for his hard work all year. Every week he put something different into it and it hooked up in the corners pretty good.”
Jake Sheridan was honored as the Legend Champion, stating that it was a fun season.
“I have to thank my dad as he helps out a ton, and everybody that helps out around here,” he commented. “I can’t thank them enough for helping us out.”
Sheridan is stepping up his game for this season, moving up to the Delaware Speedway Super Stock division. He states that it should be a lot of fun.
“My goal is to get some top-10s and have some fun,” he added.
He isn’t leaving his roots, though, stating that he will still continue to run the Legend, as well.
Cole Pirie was honored as the Mini Truck Champion, stating it was a “pretty good” year.
Jayden Riddell was honored as the Jr. A Micro Sprint Champion, stating it was a good season. He also plans to be back full-time at Grand Bend in 2016.
Chase Cameron was honored as the Jr. B Micro Sprint Champion.
“It was good,” he said. “It was hard racing and I’m really looking forward to next year, but it was pretty good this past year.”
