The Southeast Super Stocks is one of the Southeast Super Truck Series biggest growing divisions as thirteen cars took to the track at Tri County Motor Speedway for the season points opener.
Super Stock veteran Jason Leatherwood paced the field during both practice sessions, but it was Steve Carver who picked up the pace for qualifying and set fast time. He rolled a five on the dice, resulting in the top five inverting.
Clint Watkins led the field to the green when the race kicked off, but it was Leatherwood that everyone had their eyes on through the race. From the third starting spot, he quickly worked his way to the front, with his sights set on the leader, Watkins. Leatherwood would lead flag to flag, followed by Carver, Watkins, Rick Kelley, and Tyler Worley.
Sawyer Frady who was picked to be a favorite and was quick in practice, struggled during the race with fuel pump issues.
