NXS: Erik Jones Leads O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 Final Practice at Texas Motor Speedway

Erik Jones led the first practice, and kept it going in the final practice as he would top the charts once again.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver would lead the first practice with a lap of 29.375 seconds. Jones has been quick thus far this year, posting three top-fives in five races. He would be followed by his JGR teammate Kyle Busch, who was 0.247 seconds off of him. Busch has already won three races this year.

Kyle Larson was third quickest, followed by Ty Dillon and Daniel Suarez. With Suarez third, that puts all three JGR cars in the top-five. It has been a common theme this year for them to be fast as they’e been in the top-five each week, finishing 1-2-3 on a couple occasions.

Brandon Jones was sixth quickest, followed by Brad Keselowski, Brennan Poole, Ryan Preece and Austin Dillon.
