(April 12, 2016)- QA1 Carbon Fiber Driveshafts are stronger and lighter than aluminum shafts. QA1 carbon fiber driveshafts feature an exclusive 3M™ Matrix Resin that offers improved abrasion resistance, higher compressive strength, and minimal water absorption. This unique material means the driveshafts last longer and can handle more torque.
QA1’s precision assembly techniques promote uniform wall thickness, which ensures shaft stability at high RPM. Thanks to their light weight and low inertia, QA1 carbon fiber driveshafts accelerate faster than similar steel counterparts.
Each QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft endures a series of rigorous tension, strength, and compression evaluations. Thorough harmonic testing suppresses negative noise, vibration, or harshness characteristics. The driveshafts are finished with maintenance-free, high-strength Spicer Life Series U-joints for superior durability.
Perhaps most importantly, QA1 carbon fiber driveshafts have an inherent safety feature. In the rare event of a failure, the driveshaft will shred apart, potentially preventing catastrophic damage to both the car and driver.
QA1 carbon fiber driveshafts are available in several lengths, with or without a high performance slip yoke. QA1 offers 3.2 inch O.D. driveshafts from 35.5 to 39 inches long, ideal for street cars and certain race applications.
QA1 recently introduced a line of 2.25 inch O.D. driveshafts specifically tailored for Crate Late Model and Dirt Modified racers. These driveshafts have been extensively tested on the track, earning a perfect safety record and several track wins in the process. They’re available in 29 to 39 inch lengths.
