This weekend at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, Theodore Racing is making a return to the IndyCar Series after being absence from the series for 31 years. They will return on the No.15 Rahal Letterman Langian Honda of Graham Rahal.
Additionally, they will also be on the car for Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis and 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500, both being run next month.
Theodore Racing was formed in 1973, by Teddy Yip Sr. He would run four future F1 world champions Ayrton Senna, Keke Rosberg, Mika Hakkinen and Alan Jones. It had sponsored cars in multiple championships including Formula 1, IndyCar, Formula3, Formula Atlantic and Formula 5000. They lasted completed in IndyCar at Portland in 1985.
In 2013, Teddy Yip Jr. revived Theodore Racing winning in Macau F3 return and achieving a eighth victory in 2015 with Felix Resenqvist.
Its symbolic for Theodore Racing to make the return to the IndyCar Series at Long Beach, a race that Teddy Yip Sr. was instrumental along with organizer Chris Pook in securing the Inaugural race.

The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will be run on Sunday April 17th.
