For the third straight week in a row, a crew chief has been suspended due to lug nuts.
Kyle Larson’s crew chief Chad Johnston will sit out this weekend’s race at Michigan International Speedway race after Larson’s No. 42 Chevrolet was found without a lug nut properly installed post-race at Pocono Raceway on Monday.
Additionally, the P3 penalty for Johnston includes a $20,000 fine and being placed on NASCAR probation through Dec. 31.
The violation fell under Sections 12-1; 10.11.3.4 a; 12.5.3.4.1 p of the rule book.
