It seems Wally Wilson is getting everything heading the direction he wants as he’d pick up a third place finish in Saturday’s OSCAAR Midget feature at Flamboro Speedway.
Ultimately, the day didn’t start off as well as Wilson hoped as he broke a chain in the first practice. The team went to quick work, though, getting him out for the second practice where he showed speed.
The speed carried over to the first heat where he led the majority of the event, till he was passed with two laps to go by Ryan Brown. The second heat, though, was messy as he’d get involved in a wreck on the first lap in turn two.
Come feature time, Wilson was set to have a strong run starting from the fifth spot. He quickly worked his way up to third and got quicker as the race went on, but ultimately ran out of time to catch the leaders, crossing the finish line in third.
Notably while the original plan was to run both the Midget and Pro Midget, Wilson did not take the Pro Midget with him to Flamboro, but rather chose to focus on fixing the issues from Peterborough Speedway for a safe run next month.

There isn’t much downtime for Wilson and his team as he will head to Sauble Speedway on July 1 with his OSCAAR Midget, followed by Grand Bend Speedway on July 2 with his OSCAAR Pro Midget.
Wilson and team are proud to be supported by The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, HAVE1.COM, and D & M Small Engine Repair this season.
