At Road America for the Kohler Grand Prix Scott Dixon, driver of the No. 9 Clorox Chevrolet, saw his day expire early due to mechanical issues that happened on Lap 6.
“We just started losing power for some reason and had to pull off track,” he said
The Auckland, New Zealand native had qualified up front with the second starting position for the race.
“I’m not really sure what happened there,” he said. “We maintained our spot in Second and I was happy with the Clorox car at the start.
“It’s really a shame as we had really good pace in the car and I think would have been in contention for the win. It looked like a great crowd out there today and I was really excited to be back here at Road America, but we didn’t get a chance to finish unfortunately.”
Up next is the Iowa Corn 300 at Iowa Speedway on July 10th, where in nine starts he has a best finish of third in 2009.
