William Byron set the pace in opening practice for tomorrow’s Pocono Mountains 150. Byron ran a quick lap of 53.176 seconds (169.249 MPH). Byron’s lap was over six tenths of a second faster than second place Timothy Peters.
Christopher Bell was third followed by Cameron Hayley and Spencer Gallagher.
Daniel Hemric, Ben Kennedy, John Hunter Nemechek, Ben Rhodes, and Cole Custer rounded out the top ten.
Notables include: Tyler Reddick 11th, John Wes Townley 13th, Brett Moffitt 14th, Johnny Sauter 15th, Matt Crafton 16th, and Rico Abreu 19th.
The trucks return to track later on today for final practice which is set to get underway at 3:00 P.M. ET.
