Unfortunately, Saturday night did not go as Jordan Latimer planned with a pair of tough features at Sunset Speedway.
Set for the first feature of the night, Latimer started from the 14th position as a result of his 17th place finish on July 9. He was set to make up ground in the early stages, however ended up stopping n turn four with a mechanical issue. It was determined once back in the pits the clutch was broken. The JL Motorsports team quickly made repairs, set to have Latimer back on track for the rest of the night.
Latimer put down a solid lap in time trials, set to start the second feature from the 12th position. He was once again set to make up ground early, though contact with Tom Walters going into turn one resulted in heavy front end damage, ending Latimer’s night early.
Latimer and JL Motorsports are set to put the past couple of weeks behind them, hoping for strong results this coming weekend on August 6.
