Kevin Harvick led the way in Thursday’s opening Sprint Cup practice in preparation for Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Harvick ran a quick lap of 27.870 seconds (193.757 MPH). Alex Bowman was second, 0.126 seconds off the pace set by Harvick.
Coca Cola 600 winner Martin Truex Jr. was third followed by Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.
Kyle Larson, AJ Allmendinger, Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards, and Kurt Busch rounded out the top ten.
