Bubba Pollard and his No.26 Late Model took home the winning trophy at New Smyrna Speedway’s Red Eye 100 for the first triumph of 2017.
Starting from the pole, Bubba fell back into 2nd place for most of the event, climbing back into 1st place with just 30 laps to go.
“I let him go hoping he’d burn the right front off of it,” said Pollard. “He finally did and we started catching him there. We caught a couple lapped cars and passed him.”
Roderick Holds Onto Victory at New Smyrna
Driver Casey Roderick took home the winning trophy in the Zack Donatti Memorial 125 Pro Late Model race at New Smynra, Florida.
With a daring move at the end of the race, Roderick managed to hold onto the first place position over Carter Stokes. Lap traffic caused a difficult corner around turn 3, where Stokes spun out while Roderick crossed the finish line.
Starting 2017 off with a win, Roderick is hopeful for his future events this year, fully fitted with PFC’s ZR94 ZeroDrag™ calipers, ZeroFailures™ discs, and CarbonMetallic® pads.
