On Wednesday, NASCAR handed down L1-level penalties to the No. 2 team of Brad Keselowski and the No. 4 team of Kevin Harvick for violations that occurred on Sunday at Phoenix Raceway.
The penalties for each team are outlined below:
In an effort to streamline the penalty system, NASCAR implemented a new, efficient and very structured system at the beginning of the 2017 season.
The penalties dropped Keselowski to fourth place in the standings, a loss of two positions. Harvick, likewise, dropped from seventh to eighth on the standings.
Both Team Penske and Stewart-Haas Racing have the right to appeal the decision.
Looks like Charlotte has took out another 10,000 seats with the already 80,000 they took out before. That with only three makes of cars now running in the races it looks like they should go back to the floor mat of the 50s and 60s. Back then they did not have enough seats, and it was stock cars not two $2,000,000 cars.
