Race 6 of 36:
After three weeks on the West Coast, the Go Fas Racing team is finally back East. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will be competing at Martinsville Speedway, a small, flat, 0.5-racetrack located in Martinsville, Virginia. Corey LaJoie will be making his third Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at “The Paperclip” this Sunday.
CorvetteParts.net makes season debut:
CorvetteParts.net will be sponsoring their first race of the season this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. Their first start with Corey LaJoie will also mark the beginning of their seventh-straight season as a partner of GFR, making them the longest-termed partner of the family-owned team. They will be debuting a new matte orange, gray, and black scheme. LaJoie, new to the team in 2019, is excited to get his partnership with the Keen family underway.
“Tom and TJ have been great to the sport and obviously meant a lot to Go Fas over the years. We’ve got some great plans for the rest of the season including the Halloween weekend car for the second Martinsville and obviously a great throwback for Darlington. They’re a fun group to work with and I’m sure it will be a great weekend kicking off the relationship with the CorvetteParts.net group,” said Corey LaJoie, driver of the No.32 CorvetteParts.net Ford.
Last Weekend for the No.32 team:
The West Coast swing completed last week at Auto Club Speedway for the No.32 Hartford Gold Group Ford. Corey LaJoie and Crew Chief Randy Cox were able to qualify the No.32 Ford Mustang 30th heading into Sunday’s 400 mile race. In a year full of long green flag runs, the Auto Club 400 was no different. The race went mostly caution-free, with LaJoie and the Hartford Gold Group team battling hard to finish just outside of the top-30, in 31st. With that result, LaJoie remains 29th in driver points.
LaJoie on the upcoming weekend at Martinsville Speedway:
“I’m excited to get to the first true short track of the year in Martinsville with Keen Parts. They’ve been a solid partner with GoFas for the past several years and I’m looking forward to representing them on and off track. I had the opportunity to meet them after signing with Go Fas and got to visit their shop. The have a great business going in Ohio and I hope we can continue to grow their business and get a great result this weekend.”
