For the first time in his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series career, Cale Gale has won a pole.
Gale set the fast time in qualifying for Wednesday night’s UNOH 200 at the Bristol Motor Speedway with a lap averaging 122.560 mph around the half-mile track.
The pole marks the second pole of the season for Eddie Sharp Racing, which won the pole with driver Justin Lofton at Iowa (Newton) Speedway in July.
Gale will also look to join Lofton as first-time winners in the Truck Series driving for ESR.
Starting alongside Gale for tonight’s event at BMS is the Truck Series points leader, Timothy Peters.
Rounding out the rest of the top-10 starters for tonight’s UNOH 200 at BMS are: Todd Bodine, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney, Nelson Piquet Jr., Matt Crafton, Joey Coulter, Parker Kligerman, and Johny Sauter.
With a whopping 40 trucks attempting to make the 36-truck field, four failed to qualify.
Jennifer Jo Cobb, Clay Greenfield, Gran Enfinger, and Brandon Knupp all failed to qualify for the UNOH 200 at BMS.
Coverage for the UNOH 200 at BMS gets underway at 7:30 p..m ET, with the race starting shortly after 8 p.m. ET on Speed.
