Our team was invited to West Dale high school auto shop class for 4 days last week. It was an awesome time for me, my crew and the students.
We taught about the construction of a race car, safety being the priority. Our safety equipment, fire suit, helmet, hans device, gloves and boots. We also taught the importance of safety when working on the race car.
The classes included girls and boys, with all the students enjoying seeing the race car up close, but then working on it as well.
Removing the tires was a practical experience for them to know for a future time when they may need to change a tire on their own cars…or Mom and Dad’s.
It was a fun four days and we have been invited back for the fall .
