(Southwold ON) For over 30 years, Jesse Kennedy has been wheeling stock cars in Ontario and has been making a plethora of fans along the way. Of late Kennedy toured the province in the OSCAAR Super Late Models, scoring a win at the former Barrie Speedway and dozens of podium finishes.
After a few seasons on the province wide tour, it was time for Kennedy to come home. Kennedy cut his teeth at the famous Delaware Speedway half mile. First racing in their Street Stock division at the age of 14. Kennedy was at the controls in the former CASCAR Weekly division and with the CASCAR Sportsman and the National CASCAR Super Series.
Jesse Kennedy found the most success in the Pro Late Model divisions. With a knack at winning major Pro Late Model races in the province, Kennedy has gained the moniker of the Big Game Hunter. A winner of Sauble Speedway’s Beat the Heat 150, a winner of multiple Delaware Speedway’s Canada Day Shootouts, The Summer Showdown featuring the NASCAR Busch Brothers, and is a two time Delaware Great Canadian 200 winner.
Kennedy returns to Delaware Speedway in their Pro Late Model division full time in 2015. The schedule is light for the division this year. When the APC United Late Model Tour makes their 2 appearances, Kennedy will no doubt play the role of a spoiler as a local favorite among the stars of the tour. Kenney also plans on competing in the OSCAAR Super Late Model event July 10at Delaware Speedway.
As the 30 year career continues, it may be a good chance to come and see some racing action by an incredible race car driver. This year The Big Game Hunter is looking to win some of the provinces biggest races. That would certainly make him a Big Go Get’er for the 2015 Delaware Speedway Late Model events and Drivers Championship
