As part of the Inside Track Short Track Night of Champions presented by Stoneridge Insurance, the Brighton Speedway Champions were honored for their accomplishments.
Charlie Sandercock was honored as the Late Model Champion, and he says that he has the same plan for the upcoming year – keeping having fun.
Andrew Hennessy was honored as the Canadian Modified Champion, praising the division on-stage.
“There’s lots of competition, and Dan and I had a lot of good runs these past couple of years,” he commented. “He’s coming back next year so it’ll probably be about the same.”
Justin Ramsay was honored as the Pro Stock Champion, stating that it was a good season last year with the championship battle he experienced.
Shelby Mills was honored as the Comp 4 Champion, stating that it was a great season for her.
“There was a lot of great competition out there, lots of great drivers, and I’m really excited about moving up to the modified division this year,” she said. “Really looking forward to a bit of a change.”
Andy Fletcher was honored as the Super Stinger Champion, and made the comment that the claim rule the track has made things “nerve-wracking”. However, he added that he wasn’t worried as “it’s $500 to claim it and I’ve only got $100 in it.”
Megan Golden was honored as the Junior Stinger Champion, stating she had a pretty fun season.
Nathan Rinaldi was honored as the Jr Sportsman Karting Champion, commenting it was more difficult to run two classes than he originally expected.
