While qualifying went well for Eric Yorke with a pair of victories, the feature did not go as planned as contact mid-race resulted in significant contact with the backstretch outside wall.
Yorke started off the evening by winning both his heat and the Fast Qualifier’s Dash.
Starting mid-pack, Yorke found himself running in the 10th spot under the first caution with 21 laps to go. The past mini stock champion began to make up ground, moving into sixth spot.
He’d get alongside Gerrit Tiemersma for fifth at Lap 9, where contact took place, resulting in Yorke making significant contact with the backstretch wall. As a result, he was done for the night with a DNF.
Special thanks to Can-Alignment Motorsports, Milton Napa Auto Parts, J&D Tire, Solex Steel, McKeown Collision, Partimer Signs, Ancaster Embroidery, Country Girl Designs, Cabral Racing Promotions and Skytec Rentals for their support.
