After a lengthy weather delay, the Camping World Truck Series took to the newly repaved and reconfigured Kentucky Speedway for opening practice ahead of tomorrow night’s Buckle Up in Your Truck 225.
Parker Kligerman, who is subbing for John Wes Townley, led the way for the 31 trucks that took time in the first practice session. Kligerman ran a fast lap of 30.151 seconds, (179.099 MPH). Kligerman’s lap was just .004 seconds ahead of current Truck Series points leader William Byron.
Kyle Busch was third followed by Matt Crafton and Daniel Hemric. Brett Moffitt, Spencer Gallagher, Johnny Sauter, Ben Rhodes, and Grant Enfinger rounded out the top ten.
Notables included: Timothy Peters 11th, Cameron Hayley 12th, Tyler Reddick 14th, Cole Custer 15th, Rico Abreu 16th, Christopher Bell 17th, John Hunter Nemechek 19th, and Daniel Suarez 22nd.
