When it came to the race at Talladega Superspeedway, it was Denny Hamlin that made all the right moves to take the win as he held the lead with the caution flew. As for our pickers, let’s see now which of them were correct in who they chose to do well at Talladega.
The Picks
Ashley McCubbin chose Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch. Harvick faded in the final laps of the event to finish seventh while Kyle Busch found himself stuck in the middle of the pack, finishing 12th. Meanwhile, Brad Keselowski got caught six laps down early in the race after contact with Danica Patrick, and then spun in front of the field when his car got loose to finish 38th. Points: 38+7+33=78
Marshall Gabell chose Michael Waltrip, Jamie McMurray and Ryan Truex. Waltrip avoided trouble all day and ran near the back to finish 25th. McMurray found himself caught multiple laps down after he got a piece of the Keselowski-Patrick wreck on his way to finishing 29th, with Ryan Truex finishing two spots behind him in 31st. Points: 19+15+13=47
Tayler Stiles chose Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth. Johnson got loose and spun late in the race, resulting in a 23rd place finish. Kenseth, meanwhile, got caught up in the big one after Keselowski’s spin, resulting in a 37th place finish. Points: 22+47+8=77
Kreistina Blinova chose Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Gordon got caught up in a big wreck on his way to finishing 39th, while Earnhardt Jr. got stuck in the back after a late race pit stop on his way to finishing 26th. Points: 6+22+19=47
Ronald Costigan chose Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Points: 6+22+19=47

After taking a month’s vacation, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is back on track at Kansas Speedway alongside the Sprint Cup Series stars. The NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers will get a vacation this week as they return on May 18th at Iowa Speedway.
PICKERS are asked to choose three drivers for the Sprint Cup Series and two drivers for the Camping World Truck Series.
