Luc Lesage has announced his intentions to compete in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series this season. The owner of Trois-Rivieres Toyota will be racing for 22 Racing, which is owned by defending series champion Scott Steckly.
“It’s an honor, for me to work for Scott’s team. In addition to his experience and talent, Scott is recognized as one of the most prestigious team owners and prepares excellent cars. I’m sure we’ll have an exciting season,” Lesage said.
Lasage added that he will be sponsored by SportChief-Ecotone, a regional company that distributes extreme condition apparel and gear throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.
“Supporting local athletes is part of SportChief’s values,” said SportChief President Michel Côté. “For two years, we have supported the Aigles of Trois-Rivières (of the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball). This year we go beyond that by supporting a talented driver that is a source of pride in the region.”
Luc Lesage started his racing career at the age of 16 and has competed in the Formula 1600, F-2000 and Formula Atlantic sieres, winning a variety of races and championships.
