McClure Looking for Another Solid Performance at Iowa Speedway: This weekend’s Get To Know Newton 250 will be Eric McClure’s 236th-career Nationwide Series start and his seventh at the 7/8-mile tri-oval. In six starts, the Virginia driver has completed 97.2% of the total laps attempted. He has an average starting position of 32.2 and an average finishing position of 23.5. One year ago, McClure posted a track-best finish of 18th in the 250-lap event.
Chassis No. 5: Crew Chief Wes Ward has selected chassis No. 5 for McClure to pilot in Sunday’s event. This car was last raced at Richmond Int’l Raceway where McClure posted a 29th-place finish.
Reynolds Wrap Scheme Returns: For the second time this season, the No. 14 Camry will sport the Reynolds Wrap paint scheme. The car will be primarily Reynolds Wrap® blue and silver with a touch of Hefty® orange on the TV panel.
Nationwide Autograph Session: On Sunday, prior to the start of the Get To Know Newton 250, McClure, along with other Nationwide Series drivers, will be participating in the Nationwide Series autograph session located behind the grandstand area. The autograph session begins at 10:00 AM (CT) and will last approximated 30 minutes. Be sure to pick up your wristband prior to the event as quantities are limited.
