By: Ashley McCubbin — After putting together some solid runs to start the year off in the qualifying races, Brian Love would not have the 35-lap feature that he was hoping for as he would get caught up in the middle of the lap one multi-car wreck.
Love kicked off the night by finishing 10th in the first heat, before finishing fourth in the second consolation race to make the main feature.
Following his qualifying effort, Love would start in the 20th spot, hoping to make his way through the field for a top 10 finish. Unfortunately, that wasn’t meant to be as near the front, a group of drivers went four-wide and then made contact as they caught a slower car. In the midst, cars went spinning multiple directions, which resulted in Love having nowhere to go. Love’s crew would try and get the No. 04 Fox’s Bakery and Deli, Eckhart Auto Sales, Tire Depot Barrie, The Stone Grille Restaurant and Bar, Chico Bins + Disposal and Garry Mercer Trucking Incorporated Honda Civic back out on the track, however would be unable to as a result of the damage.
Photos from the action on track are posted on Brian Love’s website at http://www.brianlove04.com. Stay tuned to Love’s website all year long to keep up with everything. We look forward to seeing you at the track this weekend – May 17th – for the first event of the “Super Series”.
