Mooresville, NC (June 11, 2014) – After a much-needed off weekend, TriStar Motorsports is excited to head to the “Irish Hills” and to Michigan International Speedway for the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 250 on June 14th. This two-mile speedway located in Brooklyn, MI has moderate D-shaped banking and was re-paved in 2012.
Jeff Green, No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry
Jeff Green will pilot the No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry this weekend at Michigan International Speedway. Green has 12 starts at the two-mile speedway and has one top-5 finish. He has an average starting position of 19.9 and an average finishing position of 22.8. 2012 was the last time Green piloted the No. 14 Camry at MIS. The circumstances were different as he was filling in for TriStar Motorsports teammate Eric McClure, who was still recovering from injuries sustained in an accident earlier that year; Green finished 17th.
Mike Bliss, No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry
Mike Bliss will be making his ninth Nationwide Series start at Michigan International Speedway, and his 325th career NNS start, this weekend in the No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry. Bliss has two top-10 finishes at the two-mile speedway and has an average starting position of 21.5 with an average finishing position of 16.9. With over 50 starts at various two-mile speedways, Bliss has earned a total of two top-5s, eight top-10s and one pole win at these speedways. Not satisfied with the outcome in his last two NNS events, Bliss is ready for redemption.
Blake Koch, No. 44 Compassion Racing Camry
Blake Koch is ready to be back behind the wheel of the No. 44 TriStar Motorsports Camry this weekend for the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 250 at Michigan International Speedway. Koch has three previous starts at the two-mile speedway in the Nationwide Series. With an average start of 25.7 and an average finish of 27.7, Koch is eager to strap in and log some laps. Compassion Racing will serve as the primary sponsor on the No. 44 this weekend and The Salvation Poem will dawn the rear quarter panels of the blue and white Camry.
