Subway Firecracker 250 QUOTES & NOTES: Daytona Int’l Speedway
Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Racing NOTES:
Daytona, Round Two: For the first time this season, the NASCAR Nationwide Series returns to a track for the second time and it happens to be one of Eric McClure’s favorite tracks. This weekend will mark McClure’s 240th-career Nationwide Series start and his 17th at the 2.5-mile track. In 16 starts, the Virginia driver has led three laps and has completed 90.2% of the total laps attempted (1778). He has an average finish of 28.7 and has posted one top-10 finish. Earlier this season, McClure was unable to overcome the lap lost due to pit strategy and with four laps remaining he was involved in an accident that relegated the team to a 35 th-place finish.
Chassis No. 653: McClure will pilot chassis No. 653 for this weekend’s Subway Firecracker 250. It was last run at Talladega Superspeedway where the team posted a 17th-place finish.
Fun Factoid: Did you know that McClure and his family are Walt Disney fanatics? He and his family visit the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida several times a year. They are currently enjoying a mini three-day vacation there before heading north east to Daytona for Friday night’s Nationwide Series race.
Appearances: McClure will be participating in several appearances on Friday, July 4. Check out the schedule below and we hope to see you there.

Eric McClure Quotes:
“There is a great appreciation for our team to be able to run at NASCAR’s marquee track on our nation’s birthday. That in itself is exciting. We climbed out of the hole in points we left Daytona with in February. We’ve had really strong runs in all of our races at Daytona with TriStar and hopefully we can close one out with another great finish.”
