Jeff Gordon would get the race lead on a restart with 17 laps to go and never looked back as he cruised to his 91st career victory.
The Picks
Ashley McCubbin picked Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson. Jeff Gordon ran a strong race all day and was able to walk away from Michigan with a win and the regained point lead. Jimmie Johnson had his fair share of problems at Michigan, but he was able to record his best finish in a few weeks – ninth. Kevin Harvick was there at the end, but was only able to bring home the second place finish. Points – 47+42+36=125
Tayler Stiles picked Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon. Brad Keselowski wasn’t nearly as fast as some expected him to be at Michigan, and after a run in with the wall, Brad Keselowski finished eighth. Kyle Busch was only four laps into the race when he also hit the wall. He immediately went to the garage and came back out 43rd. Incidents in the race were able to improve his finishing position, and he wheeled it home in a dismal 39th place. Points 5+37+47=89
Kreistina Blinova did not file her picks so we will go last week’s Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Despite having a slight incident on pit road, Dale Jr was able to rally and finished fifth. Points – 47+40+36=123
Ronald Costigan picked Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Points – 47+40+36=123

Kasey Kahne had a dismal day as well and finished back in the 16th Clint Bowyer had a relatively quiet day, but was able to finish in the sixth position. Points – 38+34+29=101
Justin Tucker picked Kyle Larson, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Kyle Larson began his day in the same boat as Earnhardt Jr after an incident on pit road, but his day didn’t get any better unlike Jr’s. Kyle Larson’s day ended after another incident – this time on track – relegating him to a 43rd finishing position. Points – 1+40+36=77
Kyle Magda picked Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick and Jimmie Johnson. Points – 36+42+37=115
Terry Wagner picked Brad Keselowski, Greg Biffle and Joey Logano. Logano led the most amount of laps at Michigan, but after a few restarts that did his car no justice, Logano was relegated to a third place finish. Biffle was another driver who never made much noise during the race, and he finished in the tenth place. Points – 37+34+43=114
Christina Cordner picked Jimmie Johnson, Brian Vickers and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Vickers had a late race spin and was only able to race to a 19th place finish. Points – 25+40+36=101

Joni Stiles picked Kasey Kahne, Kurt Busch and Martin Truex Jr. Busch was contending for the lead when he smacked the wall late in the race leading to a 31st place finish. Truex Jr’s weekend started off tough enough but only continued when he was only able to muster a 36th place finish. Points – 8+14+29=51
