Windy City…James Buescher and the No. 99 Rheem team come back to Chicagoland Speedway looking for redemption from the first visit at the 1.5-mile oval. Earlier this season while enjoying a solid race, the No. 99 RAB Racing team came up just short on fuel, which relegated them to a 23rd-place finish. Buescher will make his third start at Chicagoland Speedway in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, however, the Texas native also has five starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at the intermediate oval including one win and two top-five finishes.
Gotta Have a Rheem…Rheem returns to the No. 99 Toyota Camry this week serving as the primary sponsor for the No. 99 RAB Racing team. Rheem is privately held with headquarters in Atlanta and U.S. operations in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Indiana, North Carolina and Texas. In its 89th year of operation, the company is a global manufacturer of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems; tank, tankless, solar and hybrid heat pump water heaters; whole-home standby generators, controls, swimming pool and spa heaters; indoor air-purification products; commercial boilers; and commercial refrigeration equipment. Rheem products have been recognized with countless industry and consumer awards for reliability, innovative design and high quality.

Richmond Recap…The 24-year-old Plano, Tx. native started mid-pack in the 40-car field for last Friday night’s Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. After taking multiple swings at correcting an extremely loose in and tight center handling Ruud Camry, Buescher and the RAB Racing team continued to battle to stay within contention of staying on the lead lap much of the race. After taking a gamble on a late-race restart to get the No. 99 RAB Racing team back into contention, luck didn’t fall the RAB Racings way as Buescher fought hard to bring home the Ruud Toyota Camry in the 19th position two laps down.
Chassis Info…RAB Racing will bring chassis No. 044 with them to Chicagoland Speedway. This particular chassis was last used at Atlanta Motor Speedway just a couple weeks ago. In addition to racing at Atlanta, the RAB Racing team used this chassis during the first visit to Chicagoland Speedway back in mid-July.

James Buescher on returning to Chicagoland Speedway:
“I’m looking forward to getting on track at Chicago this coming weekend. The last couple of weeks our RAB Racing team has found some things that have allowed us to race better, we just need to put everything together to get a good result to show for the hard work. I feel like my Rheem team is returning to Chicago with a good notebook from the first race here earlier this summer and that should give us a solid starting point for this weekend’s race. Chicagoland Speedway has always been one of my favorite tracks to run at, I just hope that I can capitalize on everything that we’ve been learning and bring home a solid result for our Rheem team and build some momentum for the closing weeks of the season.”
