Richard Childress Racing announced on Wednesday that they have signed a contract extension with D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery, to continue to sponsor Ty Dillon’s No. 3 Chevrolet in the Nationwide Series in 2015. Yuengling will also sponsor the No. 33 Chevrolet SS at Pocono Raceway in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race with Dillon behind the wheel.
“We are thrilled to continue our great partnership with Yuengling and showcase their great products to NASCAR fans,” Richard Childress, chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing, said. “We have enjoyed working with a family-owned and operated company with such a rich heritage and tight-knit culture. It’s something we mirror here at RCR. Yuengling is an iconic American brand and the brewery has produced a quality beer for almost two centuries.”
Yuengling beer Light Lager has been featured on Dillon’s car throughout the 2014 season with the Pottsville, Pa.-based brewery selling beer in 16 states.
“We are proud to partner with RCR again for 2015. The RCR team and the Childress family operate with the same hard work and integrity that we believe in,” Dick Yuengling, President and fifth generation family owner of D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., said. “This sponsorship has exposed our Light Lager brand to many new consumers. NASCAR fans are proud and loyal Americans and they’ve welcomed America’s Oldest Brewery into the sport and we appreciate that.”
Dillon is currently sitting third in points with one victory on the season after winning at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July.
“The Yuengling family has been a phenomenal partner and I’m honored to be a part of such a great family-operated company, just like we are here at RCR,” Ty Dillon said. “Dick, Jennifer, Wendy, Debbie, Sheryl Yuengling and all of their employees have given us an enormous amount of support. I’m looking forward to growing our relationship with all their distributors, retailers and loyal customers during the 2015 season.”
