Crew Member Suspended Due To Violation Of NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2014) – William Coralline, a crew member in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s Substance Abuse Policy.
On Sept. 24, Coralline was found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy) of the 2014 NASCAR Rule Book.
No. 74 NASCAR Nationwide Series Team Penalized For Rules Infraction at Dover International Speedway
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2014) — The No. 74 team that competes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series has been penalized for a rules infraction committed during a Sept. 26 practice at Dover International Speedway.
The infraction is a P3 level penalty as outlined in Section 12-4.3 of the rule book and violates sections:
12-1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing;
- 20A-2.3A: Added car weight. Weight not properly attached. Weight fell out during the event.
As a result of this violation, crew chief Gary Ritter has been fined $10,000 and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.
