Below are the Post-Race results for TriStar Motorsports for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge:
Mike Bliss Finishes 18th: Mike Bliss and the No. 19 Tweaker Sour Apple Camry qualified 21st for Saturdayafternoon’s race at Texas Motor Speedway. Early into the race, Bliss was quiet on the radio and when the first caution came out, the No. 19 team decided to stay out on track. After getting shuffled back into the 20th positon on the restart, Bliss reported later into the run that his Camry was loose off. When the second caution flag waved, Bliss asked his team to take extra time to tighten his car up on the next stop. After the team made multiple adjustments to the No. 19 Camry, Bliss restarted 17th. Although Bliss liked the changes the team made, he reported late into the run that he believed that they “went a little too far,” which made the car too tight, but loose in turn 3 and turn 4. With 38 laps to go, Bliss was scored in the 18th position and ten laps later had worked his way to the 15th position. While running 15th, Bliss reported his Camry was snappy loose and made a green flag pit stop for four tires, fuel and adjustments. With five laps to go, Bliss was running in the 18th position and would maintain that position to finish the race 18th.
David Starr Finishes 25th: David Starr and the No. 44 Whataburger Camry qualified 26th for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge. Starr, Texas-native, was eager to get back on his home track and turn laps. Early into the race, Starr reported that his Camry was free on the outside. The team came to pit road for adjustments. While running 26th when the second caution flag waved, Starr reported that his Camry is tight. The No. 44 Whataburger Camry came to pit road for tires, fuel and a track bar adjustment. At the halfway point, Starr was running 26th and reported on lap 113 that his Camry was loose. With 55 laps to go, Starr was running 24th and on the last green flag pit stop he reported that his Camry was loose. Running 25th with five laps to go, Starr would maintain that position to finish the 200-lap race 25th.
Eric McClure Finishes 26th: Eric McClure and the No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry qualified 25th forSaturday’s race. Early into the run, McClure reported that his car was tight, but when an early caution flag waved McClure reported that the car got better on the long run. On lap 14, McClure was running 34th and four laps later he reported that his Camry was tight in turns one and two, but felt good through turns three and four. After pitting for four tires, fuel and an air pressure adjustment, McClure reported that his car was good, but still tight on the exit while running 27th. The No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry was better on the long runs. With less than 10 laps remaining, McClure came to pit road for two right side tires, fuel and adjustments. With five laps to go, McClure was scored in the 26th position and would maintain that position to finish the race 26th.
