Mooresville, North Carolina businessman Marc Browning has formed Browning Motorsports, with the team debuting this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway with Jake Crum behind the wheel. The No. 26 Chevrolet Camaro will feature sponsorship from myfreedomsmokes.com with driver Jake Crumb.
Team owner Marc Browning will serve as the crew chief for Crumb, as he has an automotive background. The Michigan native owns Browning Automotive, which has NAPA Autocare and Collision centers, plus Browning NAPA Truck Centers that is known for repairing and servicing many of the NASCAR team haulers. He also has been involved in NASCAR for years, surviving under several different roles while working with a ride range of drivers. He was most recently at Joe Gibbs Racing as part of Kyle Busch’s team.
Browning added that he is putting together a team of individuals to run next season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, which several of those openings being filled during the off-season.
“We have met with several drivers for 2015 but as of today we have not made that decision,” he commented. “I will say that I have no intention of riding around 20th, anything we field will be there to race.”
