Tommy Baldwin Racing announced on Wednesday, January 28th that they have signed Toy State to be the primary sponsor for the No. 7 car for the Daytona 500, along with the four races that follow.
“For nearly six decades, Toy State and Nikko-branded toys have created the thrill of auto racing through imaginative play,” Andy Friess, senior vice president of global marketing for Toy State, said. “We’re taking these thrills from fantasy to reality through our sponsorship with Tommy Baldwin Racing.”
The car graphics and driver/team appeal will bear Nikko and Toy State logos, along with Road Rippers.
“The Daytona 500 is the crown jewel of the racing year, making it the perfect venue to re-launch Nikko R/C to the U.S. market and introduce the new look of Road Rippers,” Friess adds. “It’s going to be a great day at the races!”
Michael Annett drove for Tommy Baldwin last year, but has since moved onto HScott Motorsports. A driver has yet to be announced, but multiple sources are reporting that Alex Bowman will be behind the wheel. Bowman drive for BK Racing in 2014.
