Richard Childress Racing announced a new partnership with Grainger, as well as a continued partnership with WIX Filters on January 29th.
Grainger will enter a multi-year partnership with RCR as they serve as the primary sponsor for Ryan Newman in select NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, beginning with Pocono Raceway in June. They will also be a featured associated sponsor throughout the whole year. Newman finished second in last year’s Sprint Cup Series standings.
“Both Grainger and RCR share a similar commitment to customers, team members and community, which makes this the ideal partnership,” Deb Oler, Vice President and General Manager with Grainger said. “Our customers are hard-working men and women who represent the backbone of the U.S. economy. They are passionate about NASCAR, and we are passionate about them, so we are thrilled to sponsor and cheer on Ryan and the No. 31. This is a wonderful opportunity for Grainger to celebrate our customers in a personal, unique and exciting way.”
Grainger began their on-track association with RCR in late 2014 at Texas Motor Speedway as an associate sponsor for Newman in the final three races, while serving as the primary sponsor for Austin Dillon’s No. 33 XFINITY entry at Texas.

We plan to use our Sprint Cup program and RCR campus to showcase the innovative solutions that Grainger provides to its customers.”

WIX will be featured as the primary sponsor on Newman’s ride for select Sprint Cup events, while being featured primarily on Brendan Gaughan’s No. 62 XFINITY entry for a race.

We can’t wait to see how the partnership grows in 2015.”
Newman will compete in the No. 31 WIX Chevrolet starting at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on April 19.
“For 75 years, WIX Filters has been the industry leader at providing customers with premium quality automotive filters designed to exceed performance demands,” Richard Childress, CEO and chairman of Richard Childress Racing, said. “We value those standards along with WIX’s ongoing growth and innovations. Our technical alliance is leading to advances within both of our organizations, and we’ll continue to work alongside WIX’s engineers to apply our research to their everyday performance demands. RCR is proud to continue our association with the No. 1 filter in motorsports and we look forward to accomplishing even more in 2015.”
“WIX Filters has been a valued partner of mine during the last five seasons,” Newman said. “I appreciate everything WIX stands for, including reliability and innovation. Their more than 3,500 employees are incredibly passionate and dedicated about what they do for a living which is why WIX is a perfect fit with all of us at RCR.”
