After running a partial schedule for Brad Keselowski Racing last year, Tyler Reddick is set for the full schedule this upcoming season.
Looking Back At 2014
Getting his feet wet in the truck series, Reddick ran a total of 16 races last year. The young driver had some success, posting three top-fives and nine top-10s on the season, while leading a couple laps.
His youth and inexperience showed through, as noted by his incident with German Quiroga at Pocono Raceway as a little retaliation got him parked by NASCAR. However, as he ran more races, he got stronger and posted five straight top-10s to close out his season, including his career best pair of fourth place finishes.
Looking Ahead at 2015
Given the success that he was able to have, Reddick could put himself into championship contention if he is able to keep up a string of consistent top-10 finishes going. It’s also very easy to state that he could get his first career win, given that he knows how to run in the top-five now. Being a solid contender near the front of the field and getting his first win are two goals that he should set, and accomplish.
Brad Keselowski Racing has proven that they can be championship caliber, given Ryan Blaney’s success last year en route to finishing second in points to Matt Crafton. The organization has the trucks to win races and run up front – now it’s up to the young driver that will lead the team.
The key there, though, is youth. His youth and inexperience got the best of him lat year at Pocono Raceway. If he wants to be a championship contender, he needs to avoid incidents like that and just focus on doing his own thing. If he lets out distract him too much, he could get off course and result in a poor season.
