Bliss Set to Make 2015 XFINITY Series Season Debut: Mike Bliss will make his tenth NASCAR XFINITY Series start this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. After sitting out the season opener for the first time in 15 years, Bliss is looking to shine at the 1.54-mile speedway for the Hisense 250. With over 190 starts at speedways ranging from one to two miles in length, Bliss has over 45 top-10 finishes at these tracks.
Bliss’ thoughts on Atlanta Motor Speedway: “I’m really excited to get back in the No. 19 after sitting out last weekend. I’m confident Paul [Clapprood] and the guys have prepared a really great car. Atlanta is a challenging, but fun track. It is always changing and tires tend to wear away quickly with how rough the bottom groove is. It’ll be fun to be back in Atlanta for a Spring event where the track is typically cooler than the summer events in years past.”
No. 19 Toyota Camry: Crew Chief Paul Clapprood will unload chassis No.121 for the Hisense 250. This chassis was last used for the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway where Bliss finished 23rd.
Additional Notes:
– This will mark Bliss’ 346th Career XFINITY Series Start, that has stretched across 16-years.
– DOUBLE DUTY ALERT: In addition to driving the No. 19 for TriStar Motorsports, Bliss will drive
the No. 32 Rimrock Design Ford Fusion for Go Green Racing.
